Oops! Sorry man. I just got back from the gym and am dog tired. I didn't even realize I did that. :p

So what camera did you end up buying a little while back anyways?

i got the nikon d40. i read a bunch fo stuff about cameras and none of it sold me either way so i figured getting something entry level would be the right move. i havent had much time to spend with it yet tho.

i got some book that my good photographer friends recommended but work's got me so busy ive had 0 time to get going w/ it

Right on!
I'm looking at the D80.
Did you get the recently upgraded version with the 10 megapixels? or the previous version with the 6 or 8 ?(I don't recall)

i got the original one which is like 6.1 mpx. i kept reading and reading and my budget kept on creaping up $100 here and $100 there. it was quite annoying. the message boards didnt help since everyone on them acts like a pro and nothing entry level's any good for any of em.

in the end i bought it cause its the right price, has more features and controls than i know what to do with and i really wanted to get all the research over with.

one day ill learn how to use it. now i just set it to auto and snap away. besides the camera i got a lot of learning to do re: photograohy in general (settings, lighting etc). it will be fun once i get the time

in my readings i read nothing but awesomeness about the d80!

This is what I love about the guys on this forum! Fair and nice people, seriously:)

I absolutely second that after all the support I had from these boys concerning the purchase of my most "gaye-colored" Silhouette :D

This forum simply rocks ..... OOOOPS, HIJACK

Nice move concerning that black beauty, Phatty !!! (...and congrats, Jon !)

like the old sport!

I second that! The S/S/H Axis Sport is my favorite and the '97 I have is my favorite gig guitar. I've been keeping an eye out for these as I want to get another but they don't come up too often. So let me know if you ever decide to sell that blue one!
