Hi all, I'm doing some research and have a bit of a list already but I'm trying to compile famous lines that have been played on Sting Rays over the years. Any help would be appreciated!

cheers!

Possible to see what youve got so far?

First one that came to mind was Tim Commerford playing Bombtrack on a 'Ray for the first Rage Against the Machine album, not sure how famous youd call that though!

Just the Bassiscs like AC/DC , Chili Peppers(early stuff..latter stuff Flea was using Wals and Alembics in studio), Peter Gabriel, Louis Johnson, haven't reeeeally tried that hard yet but am making a bit of a dent.

"Smooth Operator".

I also would bet money that "Another One Bites the Dust" was a Stingray with flats on it.

Tony Levins.....Sledge Hammer......Perter Gabriel's "So" album......EBMM Fretless.......Very juicy bass line.

It was Bernard Edwards( of the group "Chic")playing a StingRay.

Chic - le freak.

awesome bass line, played on a nice ray
Believe it or not Bernard did not play Le-Freak with the stingray. He actually was using a B.C.Rich Mocking Bird on this track. I talk about this on another forum about a month ago.

i would say flea, i know that he dosent play eb any more but he was my first reason to look at EB.

i also think of the bassist from switchfoot.
and tim crawford definetly him
