Not sure why you guys are disgusted by this? Is it right? No, but I mean how many companies use the Strat or LP body shapes to make their 'own' guitars. If you want an original theres only one place to get them of course.

but copies of protected trademarked products isn't legal.

If nothing else, the 4 over 2 headstock is very much trademarked by EBMM

lol, you can't trademark that. Can you imagine someone trying to get away with "I built the first guitar with 6 pegs on one side!".

This has been covered ad nauseam. This is indeed copyright infringement. EBMM does have a patent on the 4+2 headstock. What else they have patents on I don't know.

I'm a lawyer, but I don't know much about Common Law, but I assure you, that thing isn't legal if he mass produces it, but for a single project it's allowed. But that thing is hideous! Man, I want to burn it with fire! :(

It sure looks from the eBay ad that he plans to mass produce.

If the first builder of the inline 6 headstock trademarked it, and defended the trademark, they would own that.

Builders do occationally build something which violates trademarks. I personally know of one Carvin guitar that was hastily taken off of their "guitars in stock" site.

The Silent Circuit.

Guys, you don't have to believe me or Beej on this. Go to USPTO.gov and look up the patents and trademarks yourself. I downloaded the entire silent circuit patent because I'm a EE and was interested in exactly what they were doing. It made wiring my Sub 1 with Silo pickups, a non-super 5 way and a silent circuit and battery easier, because I understood what was going on.

Try building a Prince guitar....that's trademarked as well.....and heavily protected.....
