Favorite Bass tuner?

Thanks. I have one now and will use it tonight. I'll be selling the Korg in a few days. It's also good to move into a 4 space rack. My old rack is a SKB Roll-X 6 space and it will also be for sale in a few days.
 
Wow, I'm suprised there's been such a long thread about tuners. I've used a Korg GA-30 for as long as I've played. When I use it, I'm in tune, simple as.
 
I think the question was what is your favorite. Not what is the best. Wise for sure as both are subjective. Favorite = IMHO.

This has been a fun thread too. I haven't heard a your tuner is crap post yet.

That's perfect! That way, if you think you're out of tune, you can just ask her and she'll tell you your wrong! :D
 
Funny tuning story. I played piano at my church for years b/4 I started playing bass full time in clubs. We had a guitar player that was just aweful. He was one of those guys that had equipment to die for and the talent of a paper weight. Anyways we were playing one Sunday morning and he was all out of tune. I ask him to tune his guitar and he said and I quote "It's better to be in tone than to be in tune." We were in the second verse of the song and I stood up from the piano and walked over to him and unplugged the guitar from the amp and put the chord in the piano bench, sat down and finished the song. He quit the church about two weeks later. My dad and I still laugh about that to this day and my dad's the Pastor of the church.

Well,I have one and to me,it was damn well worth the $185.00 bucks I paid for it
 
Larry, like you I have the rack mounted Korg and it's only good for quick tuning, not real precise. For that reason I hope to get a Strobo Stomp soon.
 
Never owned one.

Always let the geetars do their toonin', then just go from an E on those.

Once the E is in, harmonics all the way.

To me (IMHO), a tuner is just one more thing to carry/power/break.
