Doesn't it really depend on which guitar?
Al is the only guitar that I can see pulling off a stunning and classy Pinkburst (though those Limited Axis' in Japan were hot too!)
Standard JP's, Silo's and Luke's I really love in solid 1 tone colors, sparkles, or pearls.
BFR's - man Trans Ruby is hot hot hot!
Y2D - Tobacco Burst, absolutely stunning
Gold Roller......

Gotta give love to the wonderful venetian redburst though, (I own one!) Red is just a fantastic color!

You make a really good point, Steve. It DOES depend on the guitar. For instance, I can't see myself with Morse unless it's BlueBurst. I probably would go for a more classic finish on an Axis, like Tobacco Burst or Cherry Burst. And the AL is the home of PinkBurst, hence why the BFR AL is the only guitar you can get it on.
For Silo, JP, Luke and their BFR counterparts, I could really go with any color.

Sparkle Black (like Luke's): on a Luke, match HS
Radiance Red: on a Silo Spec.RW, white pearl, match HS
Medallion Gold: on an AL with tortoise guard, RW, match HS
Trans Orange: on a BFR Luke
Pearl White: on an all-white Axis SS, 3 X MM90, match HS
Sterling Silver: on a Luke, match HS
Somewhat of a pattern...

Sunburst or Honeyburst with a quality quilt top has always been mine. However, my ultimate finish which I don't believe is available would be a red and black Axis. I owned a Axis with the same color scheme but in a flat finish that had a Warper Tour or Battle of the Bands logo, but I couldn't get past the logo that I sold it. I'm sure I will regret the decision as I'm sure there were only a couple built!
I would love to have this guitar with a gloss finish and a maple fretboard!!!!!

Blueburst.Its classic.
+2 Midnight Blue Sparkle and Autumn Redrise are my favorites.
Olive Gold is amazing in person a like it even a lil more then Orange Firemist
Teal Pearl!! almost all Blues and Greens have been stunning,I like Egyptian Smoke alot too
Purple Sunset and Venetian Redburst are my favorite figured top colors

Transparent Pink & Purple
I think they should bring back Transparent Pink and Purple. Japan just got a shipment from Ernieball a few months back of Trans Pink, They look just as good as the EVH run did from 91 to 95. They should really bring it back or even as custom made option. I don't get it.
