Percy Jones from BRAND X on Morrocan Roll. Goodsal, Lumbly, and Collins help Jones tear it up.

I think it's been mentioned, but I automatically thought of The Eagles - 'New York Minute'.

When I saw this song performed on the 'Hell Freezes Over " dvd i went out and bought a fretless. Awesome song, great fretless work.

Anything from 'the lion king'

Great fretless lines in there. Seriously.

Couldn't agree more Zak. My kids love the movie, I love the score. It is seriously worth checking out. Big swelling fretless bass on this one., though I am not sure who is responsible.
I just had a listen and it is The Lion King 2 that I am thinking about. Still not sure who the bass player is though.

One more: Naked Eyes Fuel for the Fire "Me I See in You" I don't know the bassist but it's some of the most blatant fretless playing I've ever heard.

Also Frank Zappa Joe's Garage: Parts II and III "He Used to Cut the Grass"
Patrick O'Hearn I believe.

Peter Gabriel - Dont Give Up (actually, the whole So album has great fretless lines by Tony Levin).

Don Henley - Boys of Summer. Pino is credited for playing the bass on the album so I guess he recorded it with his fretless Ray.
btw, theres a nice version of this song on Don's Inside Job DVD.

Tony Levin does some nice fretless work on Pink Floyd's "Momentary Lapse of Reason". Most of the bass on that album was Levin (and some Gilmour), with Guy Pratt playing on the subsequent tour.

Eberhard Weber did some cool fretless (actually an upright electric bass) work for Kate Bush. Here's a sample from her Hounds of Love album in a song called "Mother Stands for Comfort"

Pete Townshend's "Give Blood" from the White City: A Novel album. Although four different bassists were credited on the album, I believe Pino Palladino played on that song.
