Unfortunately no. We're ridiculously far behind the curve on recording technology and expertise. We just have too much fun playing to devote any time or energy to recording, and it's something we MUST do at some point.

Steve Millers "jet airliner", is what sold me on buying the bass, when I played that riff in the store, but my favorite song to play live with this beast (stingray) is The Beatles' "Rain". or "come together", either is my favorite.

o man, recently I've been playing songs like "If you Want Me to Stay", "I Want to Take You Higher" by Sly & the Family Stone, "My Generation", "Who Are You" by the Who, etc. on my Bongo. I set the pan a little towards the neck pickup, cut all the highs, and boost the lows and low mids until I get a huge thick tone.

My personal favorite is Johnny B Goode in any key. :} and 3000 other bass lines that are the same.

I am a guitar player and I am playing bass little over a year so I enjoy just about every song I play on bass and the group I play now probably play over 200 songs so sometimes they just play songs I have never heard of but these guys expect me to know everything so it is tough to play with them but it helps me to be a better player and a good faker

Songs I enjoy playing on bass in current group are:
Smoothe Operator, by Sade, with bass solo in middle,
The way you look tonight, by Frank Sinatra,
and all standard tunes.

Songs I enjoy playing on guitar are:
Hotel California, by Eagles,
Europa, by Santana,
Stairway to Heaven, by Led Zeppelin

I've been playing "Money" a lot lately because it uses all four open strings many times during the song and I am teaching myself to see open strings as part of my scales.
