I've tried out the John Petrucci 6 string I got from Musician's Friend(blemished, yeah right). However the bridge pickup didn't work. I loved the neck pup, trem and overall feel of the guitar. It's on it's way to Ernie Ball to get the repair to the bridge pickup.

I really like this guitar, but haven't had much complete playing time with it yet, However I'm curious as to what other owner's favorite things about this model are.

Thanks,

WP

I love the sustain and tone of the JPM, but for me, the neck is my favorite. I am real picky about the "feel" of a guitar and if it doesn't feel right, I put it down. I have tried many many instruments in my day, and by far, the JPM's neck is the best for me. I love it so much, I bought two of them. It's definitely the neck for me.

I agree that the neck was the main reason for buying one. But the vintage trem is starting to grow on me too.

The thing I hate and have replaced are the stupid tiny little plastic control knobs.

I have 2 JPM's and I think the neck carves are different on each which I find strange.
