Ok, so I realize this isn't going to be a perfect poll, but I have tried to choose colours so that we might make something out of it, ok?
Just pick fav colours and the BP can pass judgement on just how different from the general public we are.

There are way too many caveats. Depends on the object.

I like my orange/yellow/gold Bongo. But I don't think it would be a good color for, say, a firearm. Or a toilet, for that matter. :D

Blue skies and green trees look great. But green skies and blue trees?

The propensity to dye everything green on St. Patrick's day (beer, bagels, milkshakes, you name it) always made me a bit ill.

Ok, ok,so just to clarify the poll: The idea is that everyone states their favourite colour(s) for Bass Guitars made by Ernie Ball/MusicMan.:D

I voted for sunburst because I LOVE honeyburst! I love my natural SR4, but looking back, I kinda wish I had gotten honeyburst.

I voted Sunburst because Tobacco Burst (#1) and Honey Burst (2nd choice) weren't on the ballot.

Also, these are in regards to Stingrays and Sterlings with Maple fretboards.

Definitely a lot of caveats to consider here.

Y'know, Strummer, last summer or thereabouts, when I was trying to decide which color to get my Bongo in, I posted a poll that listed every color on the chart (except those not available onthe Bongo).

Predictably, there were a bunch of people who jumped all over the "flavor of the month" (then Stealth), but aside from that, the answer to "what's your favorite color" turned out to be.....

Yes.

In other words, polls like this never reach any conclusion other than that different people like different colors. As you're finding out from the even response to this poll.

I like different colors for different basses. I don't think a natural Bongo would look all that great (assuming it was available in a wood that looks good with a clear finish, which it is not).

DG looks great on the Bongo, but I don't think it looks quite as good on the more traditionally shaped instruments.

Etc.

PS: Sparkles...ew. Way too old-school, upholstered-Kustom-amp, band-with-matching outfits Vegas for me.

Good, because i was thinking any brownish or reddish or yellowish burst type paint job would go as sunburst.
There are a max of 10 alternatives, else we could have all the choices and be exactly none the wiser:D

I've got to add this: how many other bass/guitar manufacturers give you so many finish variations...all top quality for that matter...and for the prices that EBMM's go for?

I mean, really?

The idea behind the poll was to get a picture of what us the forumites like, and then ask that GC boss how a typical customer sees the colour options. Just fun to see exactly how off we are, you know?

Finish variations, yes. Hardware variations, no . . . . I hate to keep whipping this dead horse, but I wish that EBMM would offer the black hardware they already have on the Stealth series on other finishes! No effort at all on their part - merely a decision!

I haven't seen the black hardware anywhere but on the Stealth B; where else are they using them?

Black is a classic look that I'll always love. Two of the Limited Edition colors have driven me crazy - Buttercream and Envy Green. The latter is quite aptly named. I've always been a sucker for Candy Apple Red and Lake Placid Blue, but I love Burgundy Mist, Teal Green Metallic, and Shorline Gold. That being said, I'm an absolute sucker for a nice sunburst, honey-burst, or tobacco-burst, so I voted "sunburst."
