Hello All,

After hanging out here for so long I decided to become a member of the EB empire. This post I am just looking to see if any Bongo owners are willing to trade for my Sterling. I like my Sterling but after playing a Bongo at GC I know what i need. Let me know if your interested and i'll send some pics :D

Whoa, this could cause a stir.

Could I ask you why you know what you need? Is it the neck, the tone, the weight, etc?

If I had the dough I would keep the sterling and buy a Bongo but I do not as I am a poor college person thats why I am sitting here on a friday night in the EB forum and watching VH 1 Rock Honors for about the 28th time instead of going out

Sure the neck is one reason, but the tone in my mind the Sterling like getting punched in the gut, but the bongo was fatter like getting smashed in the face with a bat ! I am Sorry for any problems I have caused. Just my humble opinion

You don't have to apologize. These guys all have their own opinion, as do I, about which EBMM bass is The One.

A good idea is to post photos of your Sterling. The Gear Whores like shiny things.

Good luck!

See, Abel?

Already the Gear Whores salivate, and they don't have any idea what color it is, what fretboard it has.....post a photo, man, and watch Pavlov's bassists react!

What a person really needs is any other EB bass and a Bongo. That will work good.

Hang out long enough someone may want to trade a bongo for your Sterling.

Welcome to the forum and never apologize to us for an opinion as we all get on each others nerves once in awhile but we is family.

Was gonna ask that myself. Seems like a sparkle finish but could be the flash highlighting the "pearl" in blue pearl. But if it is not a sparkle, I say blue pearl. Very nice.

1+ on what tk said, any other EBMM bass and a Bongo.

Edited: Decided not to sound like a parent giving advice to a college student.

This is hilarous, well at least to me.

I just traded my Bongo to Bassplayer1770 for a Sterling. I actually like the blue pearl a lot, had this been posted three days earlier you might have gotten mine.

I own a Sterling already ( a red burst in the pics), and I wanted a second Sterling for my up coming trip to Austin, TX and subsequent tour with the band I'm joining. I could totally see how someone would want the Bongo for tone options.

However, for me the Sterling has helped me realize the tones I was after more so than the Bongo. I've chased a tone in my head for the past 4 years and my current rig is what I want. Aggressive, Punchy, and almost out of control.

I wish you luck on your quest.

Here are some pics.

Hey, abel, that was exactly what I was going to suggest, but when I wrote it, I sort of heard my own parents shaking their fingers at me saying, you gotta save up for what you want, so then I quickly edited (deleted) my words. You must be smarter than I was when I was in college. I also have a feeling if you traded the Sterling for the Bongo, there would be sometimes you might miss the Sterling.
