Hi all,
Looking for a fiesta red ray if they are out there, to clarify, to me Fiesta red is very much a late 50's early 60's thing, think The Shadows etc.. I think its sometimes gets called salmon pink to, I know it is a very traditional P bass colour, but I would love a stingray in this colour, is there an EBMM colour near to this?

The closest thing to Fiesta Red would have to be Coral Red which was available originally on the Classics. It looks like Bass Central may have one available with a rosewood fingerboard:

Yeah, laneline already hooked you up. Guitar Center has plenty of them on their website, but with a shell pickguard and black pickup cover. Musician's Friend also has plenty of Classic StingRay 5's in coral red with maple board, but in the original white pickguard with white pickup cover.

GC network also has a bunch of four bangers and one five string listed on the Platinum site: Guitar Center: Platinum : Music Man Classic Deluxe Stingray 4 Birds Eye Maple Neck Coral Red

Cheers for all your help guys, now I know that the colour is real, so its a case of finding one in the UK with a maple board or taking a punt and them damn import duties! Got to hate the taxman!

Coral red matches fairly well.

Here's me with mine in the tribute band I play in (matching guitars!!) and a couple of pics of the bass also - it has maple board. The colour is very responsive to lighting so goes from pale salmon pink to bright red dependent on lighting. It is not quite a perfect match but near as damn it. The neck on this guitar has tremendous figuring - very stripey and very birds eye!

I have just fitted Thomastic Infeld flats and it sounds phenomenal!!

There was a dealer in Glasgow with a new one of this spec a short while back - may be worth checking on line. I think I stumbled across it after typing coral red Stingray into Google.
