I just sealed the deal on one of these suckers. It should be a nice change from my Peavey head, and I imagine that it'll make the Bongo sound even better. Jack, thanks again for your help with my questions.

1200 watts might actually be enough.:p

For a number of years now, I've maintained that the Sunn 1200S answered all my questions about amplification.

Everyone has different ideas about tone, but I've always found it hard to argue with what I get out of a Bongo, the Sunn head and an Ampeg cab or two.

You let me know what you think of that amp. If it's not for you, let me know and I'll give you what you paid for it, to be sure. It's always nice to have a back-up.

Those Cowpilot videos that John shot? That was a single H Bongo, the Sunn head and an Ampeg 4-10 classic cabinet. I occasionally try to change things, but sometimes you just have to go with what works.

Nice!

I've got another amp on the way, too. It should be here tomorrow. I can't wait!

Enjoy it. I'm sure the Bongo will sound amazing through it. Of course, when doesn't the Bongo sound amazing?

+1. There is no substitute for headroom.

I've been a member of the Kilowatt Klub for a while now, and am a believer.

Kilowatt Klub...I like that.:D

The head should be here within the week, according to the seller.

Oh well. I waited 3 months and change for the Bongo, so a couple of days is nothing.

IT'S HERE!

I only got to test it for about five minutes at low volume, but I really like what I'm hearing. :D

I'll get a chance to play it more tomorrow, and I'll post my more developed opinion then. All I know so far is that this thing is a bass monster. I'm already in love....

I've been playing with the thing for the last hour or so, and i must say that I'm impressed. Between the graphic EQ and the channel-switching, the range of sounds you can get out of this thing are great. The warmth and punch really complement the Bongo, and those same qualities help make the Daion sound a little fuller and stronger.

I'll keep exploring, but I must say that this is a great amp.
