All I have to say is oh my god. PLugged it in and there was this weak distortion noise and the band looked amused...changed both batteries and I looked amused.
What an instrument. Like someone said the HC configeration is like Hannibal Lecter, clean, smooth and like a very sharp knife.
I set everything flat and the pick up selector set to the hummer. nice tone.
Rolled the selector nearer the middle indent and boosted the mids a touch and bingo bongo lethal. It cut through the mix like paper with a tight clear bark of a tone - funnly enough just whatI had in my head.
So next is using it on an unsuspecting public at a gig on Friday night.

LOL..I saw a guy coming back into US Customs getting a whole crapload of Cubans crunched up and tossed into the trash in front of his eyes on the way back in from Mexico...LOL...moron claimed them on the form....musta been a Talkbasser.

Nahh...the customs agent was rather apologetic yet conciliatory while he was crunching them up into the garbage can telling the guy they were so dried out they were worthless anyway.
