Picked up a Dustin Kensrue model Stingray today. Was looking at a St. Vincent for the last two years or so and was saving up for one until I found out the DK model was going to be a regular model. Then it was an easy decision.

1: Dustin has been my favorite song writer since I picked up Thrice's Artist in the Ambulance.

2: whenever I would design a guitar on warmth it would be an H-S setup with a trem. Figure this is kinda perfect.

3: ive been wanting a music man for decades....

I'm really loving this guitar! I got it home and threw it through my rig and just loved the tone! A lot lower output than I thought it would be. I was shocked that its lower than my telecaster.

Love the feel. Love the weight. The sustain and attack is perfect.

I got rid of my Les Paul Traditional for this and no regrets!

Congrats. Jonesing big time for a Kensrue. Alas, it’ll probably be a year away before I can get one. Enjoy it and please post more photos if you can

Nice congrats, I love what they've done with the volume/tone and made them stacked, it removed the switch on the upper horn and just looks sooo clean.

Welcome to the fold!!

Enjoy, Glenn |B)

Yea the stacked controls and moved selector are my favorite parts over the standard model. I think it improves the design immensely.

I find the overall build better than my PRS custom 24 which I thought was near perfect on delivery. Both guitars had minor issues out of the box. This one is a strange buzz on the third string across the whole neck. Should be an easy fix.

I love how it's sonically a blend between my telecaster and my PRS. I feel I got a pretty versatile stable of guitars now with little overlap compared to when I had the LP. (335, tele, Gretsch jet, stingray DK, PRS cu24).

It's impressive the resonance it has. It's odd to describe, but it has the quick attack of my PRS along with the resonance and sustain of my 335. Darker sounding than my gretsch, but smoother than my PRS.

I love it!

More pics will come.
