That is just awesome, I have been around here for quite some time now and seen many guitars including the many I have brought in but that ranks in the top 5 just beautiful.

Congrats and enjoy that as my friend DDA said what the hell you going to do with that extra string:)

How does it compare sonically with the JP6?

That's fantastic! One of the nicest JP's I have ever seen. Does the mahogany body give it a noticable different sound compared to a regular BFR? Or has the maple neck more influence on the difference in sound?

They're VERY different sounding. The JP6 has a much more 'classic' voicing to it- pronounced and punchy midrange and sparkly highs. The JP7 on the other hand is darker, has a more open midrange. The high end isn't as sharp, it's as if there was a high pass filter put on it. This results in some freakin unbelievable cleans. I'll hopefully have a comparison soundclip done soon.
