Finally....I get to use my Morse with my band!!

Well, I got my Morse while living in Las Vegas and never was afforded the opportunity to use it with my band. I jammed with a few guys here and there but never in a proper band. We finally set up a practice (first one in over five years) and I get to surprise them with it. It is going to be an awesome night.

Awesome - gonna use mine w/ the band for the first time as well (rehersal today) - it'll be interesting (for us both!) as the morse has a few volume settings on it's own (assuming standard set-up/stock pick-ups)....which ofcoarse combined with pedals - it'll be a full body experience....and I know everything will be just right. Let us know how it goes for you.

Thanks all, it was an outstanding night. For a group of guys who haven't played together in years I'm proud to say we managed to crank out a dozen tunes!! The Morse more than held it's own and the neck pickup is just perfect for some of the solos. I'm still buzzing about it today. As for my injury situation, acupuncture has been the mojo that helped me the most. I was surprised that it makes such a huge difference and was reluctant to try it because I always joking referred to it as 'voodoo' but it works wonders for me. I also wear one of the shooting sleeves that you see the NBA cats wearing. It is a compression sleeve and and soon as my arm gets warm, it keeps it warm. Now, I need to get some recommendation on a nice boost pedal for solos, any suggestions?

As for the boost I'm after...I want to punch through the mix more than normal with a smattering of extra gain. We are a four piece so I'm the only guitarist but I think I've been spoiled because one of my closest friends is also our sound man and has always taken great care to bring out the solos when we play out. Unfortunately, he was working another gig last night so we just kind of set up, balanced our volumes and played. I don't want a volume pedal though, just a sweet boost to make the leads jump out a bit. Thanks for the help, I get confused when I search this stuff our because there are so many damn choices out there.

As for boost - the Fulltone Fat Boost is rather flexible - and true bypass if that matters to ya.

That's good news that you were able to use that awesome guitar for what it's intended for. As for the boost, I would look into Suhr Koko boost, or if you want simple check out the Xotic EP Booster. The Koko also has a midrange boost on it which is really cool.

I have had acupuncture on my left wrist a few times too. It does seem to help.

I've owned two boost both great both very diff. The creation labs mk 4.23 is an amazing clean boost. Hads no color to ur tone just awesome vol. Second was the hermida dual boost. Worked very nice bc u can set one for let's say solos and another to push a clean sound into that tight punchy over driven tone since u can adjust gain on it as well. Keep us posted on what u picked. Glad to see ur doing well and that ur playing in a band setting again....
