...with my spankin' new trans-orange StingRay. :)

Wow. Just wow.

I starting playing at 13. I was too young to be allowed to soundcheck for fear that that the club owner/manager would question my age before showtime and not let me go on (and that was back when the drinking age was 18 in NY). Although I had an interest in MMs back then, new Rics were selling for $350, so they were my staple.

Fast forward 30 years with a sizable electric bass hiatus, I walked into a shop to finally try out MM. After a year of getting my chops back with a MIA P, I wasn't expecting the jolt I got from the StingRay. It was like turning on a 100 watt bulb after reading with a night light.

I didn't think this level of quality was possible in a production instrument. Hats off to the team at EBMM, this thing is flawless and I am one happy dude.

It's only been a few days, but every time I open the case, it's Christmas morning. :D

And trans-orange is such a great finish, too. One of my all-time faves.

So....let's have some photos of that baby.

And welcome!

Congratulations to finally finding your first StingRay after 30 years of looking!

So the question will be how long it takes you for the second one... ;)

I tend to be a one bass guy. I play what I love and I love what I play. And for a long while I'm going to love this Ray.

If I had two or more, I'd end up favoring one and then the second would become obsolete.
