Well, I was lucky enough to work a deal with Brandt Bourque @ The Perfect Bass. He posted he had a JP6 DD coming in and was unspoken for. It's actually there now, I should be getting it next week, as I will be paying the balance this friday.
So you're the one! I had been emailing The Perfect Bass for a few days asking about pictures and price. When I finally called this past Monday evening they said someone had put a deposit down on it that morning. Anything I can do to talk you out of it???
I'm sorry....<noise> ...<noise> yer breaking up <noise...static> oh wait..this isn't a radio..hehe. Actually I had been in contact with him shortly after he had first posted one was up for grabs. I was in the process of selling off one of my other guitars at the time and was waiting for the payment. I sold off an Ibanez JS10th Chromeboy, I had called him the previous week to try and put it on hold and was $100.00 short of the required deposit he wanted at that time.
This will be my first EBMM, and I'm quite excited to get it. If I was you, I'd call / email EB customer service and see if they know of any locations that might have one that is unspoken for. I did try that myself about a month or 2 ago, but at the time, the 2 locations they referred me to, both had buyers for theirs. I'm surprised that only what, 3 or 4 of them are going to be 7 strings, the rest of the 22(?) are 6 strings.
I am so excited for this edition, that I considered getting a bass to have one, and I don't play bass (yet!).
If this turns out to be as great as I expect it to be, I think I'm selling off my other guitars and buying a few more of these great guitars!
If there are any store owners out there that have any unspoken for JP DD's (or even Lukes/ASS's/AL's/etc.) and if it's not against the rules - feel free to add to this thread!
