I looked at that auction and thought it was aftermarket. The one knob seemed too close to the humbucker, the bridge didn't appear to be an original MM (I don't think they were doing piezos until they had their own bridge - could be wrong on that) and there is an extra toggle switch on the guard that isn't normally there.

That said ... if it is aftermarket and plays well it's still a great deal. Would be great to get the original bridge too if it's available.

You mean the piezo, bridge, knobs and switches look aftermarket, right? The guitar itself looks original to me. Looks just like mine except for those things, which is a 2000 model. Anyone know for sure then they came out with a piezo and current bridge?

Btw, the color is called autumn redburst.

Also, the 5 way switch looks set back further to the rear, where the tone knob is usually located. Yes, it does look quite modded.
