I placed an order for a new StingRay 4 today, Wednesday, January 17th, 2007, at 3:30pm. I called up the good guys, Pete & Nick at dubaldomusic.com and they took care of me. I told them, StingRay 4, 3 band EQ, Rosewood fretbosard, black pickguard, and either Black or Trans Teal -- I couldnt decide on what color, so I told Nick to surprise me, kinda like when your wife is having a baby, and you wait until birth to find out the sex, lol. Nick said he was gonna give the order to Pete ( on his way to NAMM ) and let Sterling decide what color for me, lol - Im just SO exited - All I have to do now is wait, and wait, and wait.

All the uproar about the trans teal you HAD to have and supposed discontinued color and your heartbreak and on and on and later attempts to satisfy you and you are now basically doing a coin toss on color choice.....etc.
Am I missing something here:confused:

After GC told me Trans Teal was discontinued, I had to decide on a '' 2nd '' choice, and that choice was Black, and you know how we try to convince ourselves things, like for example, thinking to myself '' Billy, the Black SR4 looks better than the Trans Teal anyways '' - LOL And now I find out Trans Teal was not discontinued, and then I couldnt decide on it or Black - so I told Nick to just '' surprise '' me with one. lol

It makes the wait even more exiting!

"the good guys" who are the "bad guys" The people who bent over backwards to correct
one guys mistake that got broadcast over the internet?

Poppa, you dont know the whole story - after they '' bent over backwards '' to correct one guys mistake, i tried to order from them again, and they told me Trans Teal was extra $$$$ - So, I decided to just take my business elsewhere. I know GC is very important to you, because they are probably your biggest dealer - I am still a GC customer, i buy all my tuners, strings, straps.... ect from them.

About the '' mistake that got broadcast over the internet '' - I have been thinking about that even before you mentioned it - I should have not '' broadcast '' the one guys mistakes - I know we all make mistakes from time to time, and I sure don't want my mistakes to be seen on the internet. BP - can you forgive me?

The '' good guys '' comment was not meant to make the other store seem like '' bad guys '' I just meant those 2 guys are really nice, helpful, good guys - you have misunderstood me

Again, BP , I am sorry , please forgive me.

Great Noproblem. Actually you have no idea how far both your posts have gone up the ladder at GC. THanks for your clarification.....

EVERY dealer is important as is every end user. If GC didnt earn the order after what happened , they probably dont deserve your sale.

Stingray Jack tried to punish me torturing newbies.....I think we did fine without him. He should be sharpening his skills at being AMericas guest this weekend and focus at the Road managing gig at hand!
