My take on this Larry is to do nothing for a couple weeks to see if the guitar has the mojo we all hope for when we order it. Changing the body can and most likely will change the tone somewhat.

If it still bothers you after a couple weeks, then call dan the man.

Right, as this thread has been hijacked, I'm going to join in.

I used to shoot over in the US at the Bianchi Cup, sort of like the world championships. I still come over every now and again, when money allows. It's good fun.

I think Brent needs to show a bit more respect too. This isn't funny.

Wow.

This thread was started by a guy who has purchased not just one, but two instruments from EBMM. A guy that has had nothing but praise for the instruments. A guy who put a lot of money in EBMM's pockets.

He makes one slip up (if you can even call it that) on an internet forum and gets yelled at by the big cheese of the company he's put close to $3000 into.

Then you come along and take the same attitude with him, as well as lashing out at another member who did nothing to provoke it.

Personally, I would be pretty upset to have put that much of my hard-earned cash into your pockets and get treated like a child. Both of you could have been a little more objective in a situation like this, but you chose not to.

Yeah, I know, posting here is a privledge, but in the end, you and BP came across looking like folks who should never be crossed, no matter what the circumstances.

Despite all the crap you guys go through with the real trouble makers that come to these forums (who number few and far between compared to a lot of other companies), I think you guys were a bit over the line here.

It seems as if you don't get it either. We understand that Larry is upset because of the finish crack. How many times does it need to be said that if you have a problem, let us fix it. Call customer service. We would be more than happy to take care of him, but call customer service first. Larry has been around here long enough to know that, but instead, he posts a thread with a poll.

Who did I lash out at? greent? I banned him because he has been nothing but trouble here. Did I lash out at brent? I think if you ask him, he and I are ok.

The guitar did not leave the factory like that, and we could take that position and blame the shipper etc, but we don't. We take care of our customers better than anyone. We go over and above because we care about our customers. You are way off on your post.

We had a finish crack on a Petrucci but Music Man took care of it. AJ and Scott at Music Man are great people to work with and they stand behind their products.

We're getting a Dargie Petrucci in the next few days and we'll be launching The Perfect Guitar on May 1.

Man, you guitar players.

Okay, leave it to the bassist to clean it up and put it to bed.

Listen, Larry's guitar has a stress crack. Okay, Larry knows to call THE DEALER and see what to do, if anything needs to be done, about it. I also think Larry knows that posting a POLL was not the best idea he ever had. Hey, no one's been killed, it could have been worse, but a poll was just a bad idea.

I know the dealer. I know the guys in Customer Service. If things need to happen, things will happen. Right?

So let's call it a day on this one. No one is going to be screwed, no one is going to leave unhappy, everyone is GOING TO BE OKAY.

(Well, not the guy who wrote this: "Hey BP, chill the hell out." He will not be okay.)

So we can all agree: it is nice, it is wonderful, it is fabulous to have easy access to BP and Jon and Beth and nearly everyone else at the factory, but, as consumers, we give the dealer our money and the dealer sells us the instrument. That is our first point of contact for any issues, right? We all agree?

Just nod your heads up and down.

This thread is over (unless BP and/or Jon want to add anything).

Larry and I are fine...fifteen hjundred people have read about a guitar that we didnt damage. If I was short with Larry thats between him and I and he does know better.

About every 6 months there are threads that get out of line and guys get upset...Including me...I think that most people dont realize that I can only participate here one way and that is real. When my sig and HUNDREDS of posts asks nicely to let us get a chance to fix a problem before posting it to the world, and to not PM me and this stuff still happens. I will work on my "thank you sir, Ill have another...."

Larry will you let me fix the damn Dargie? I want it right.
