Hmmm. I got Heinz out of the case tonight for the first time in months. Plugged him in and he still rocks quite nicely.

Last night, it was the newest Blue Pearl Bongo. JEEZ! What a noise that sumbitch makes!

Fact is, when I'm playing either type of neck, I don't really notice the difference.

So I'm not voting.

Unfinished, but nothings wrong with a finished, it wouldnt keep me from getting a certain bass by any means.

Okay, I'm going to vote, but I'm going to vote for the Bongo-style because if I had to have only one bass.....well, you know.

But I really do love the oil/wax, too, so it isn't fair to make me choose, but by God, you're making me do it.

I'm really happy with both styles but my 91 Stingray looks so great with the gloss finished birdseye neck.

That's why the 30th will be so awesome!

I love the feel of unfinished. Then again, I only have a total of about 10 minutes of Bongo time under my belt.

...I prefer a finished neck. That's what still keeps me somewhat interested in Pre-EB MM Stingrays.

...Smoother feel, and it at least seems easier to clean/maintain

Although I love the Bongo's satin finish feel, I love it because it feels more unfinished; my Stingray w/unfinished neck...perfect!

ive become a huge fan of the unfinished since i got all crazy about EBMMs. all my finished neck guitas and basses just annoyed me till super recently when i got a new 6 stringer w/ a finished neck and it feels great and smoothe ...

so, im not voting. but i should say that more often than not unfinished necks feel better to me
