It's been nearly a year since the car accident that destroyed my old bass. Finally some money came through and I was able to snag this beauty off eBay and order a Sterling 5 for later on this year.

The bass is a Stingray 5, Las Vegas Gold, rosewood fingerboard, and an unfinished headstock. I have to take better pictures than what I have at the moment, and I'll post those when I get the chance to later on this week. The ones I took today were on my Blackberry and they came out... that's about all they did, they came out.

Yeah, this one was the one that was on eBay. I grabbed it just because of the rarity of the finish and it appealed to me, seeing as how I'm getting another "gold" bass in the coming months.

As for my crackberry shots, I used the "Barbara Walters' Exclusive" filter effect. Wish I had an actual camera to take pictures with, I was stunned when I opened the case! So classy...

Personally, I think white pickup covers scream "Help!, I'm stuck somewhere between disco and Miami Vice!". Do they look good?...Yes, absolutely...but so do sparkles and Steinbergers.

BTW, this is not a slam on Bass Control's SR5...beautiful bass even though the pic doesn't do LV Gold any justice.
