First Ball for Me, Finally

Yeah, I need a better camera. This bass is so much better in person.

Anyway, I just got my message back from Dan. Turns out the pick guard and the neck aren't original to this bass. It's supposed to have a maple fingerboard and a plain white pick guard. I'll live, I think.

However, Dan did confirm that this bass was in the Summer 2001 NAMM Show in Nashville. Even more collectible! It would be even more if it had the original parts...

Personally, I think white pickup covers scream "Help!, I'm stuck somewhere between disco and Miami Vice!". Do they look good?...Yes, absolutely...but so do sparkles and Steinbergers.
