What was the first bass line you ever played, learned, etc. on an MM bass?

I think for my SC/H Bongo4 it was "Smoke on the Water" as a little tribute to Mr. Jackson.

I'm still trying to remember what it was on my Bongo5HH.

It might be "Smoke on the Water" when I get my single H, depends on how much Steve-o wants to lick it.

edit: OK, the title doesn't quite jive. Should be "First bass line on your MM"

When I got my first bass (my lava pearl bongo) I sat down and learned "Anestesia (Pulling Teeth) by Cliff Burton. Took me about 10 days of solid practice......but alas, the guitarist in me made me use a pick. But, I am used to a pick, so that is what I use......

My instructor is weening me off of the pick though and my first bass line with "fingers only" was Walking on the Moon" by The Police.

My one and only MM (so far hehe), my SR5 I played:

Face the Face - Pete Townsend was the first before I got it home (at the store).

Once I got home I hooked up the OC2 and for the first song did a very loud version of Pete Townsend's Give Blood (off the same album) ripping through my little traynor 2x10 stereo cab and a BXR400 head. :) That pretty much sold me right there if I still needed any selling at that point in the game. :D

I always play an A minor or Major 7 scale when I pick up a bass so those are probably the first lines I did.

TEEN TOWN!

I use that to judge the speed of the neck. I really liked the sterling over the Stingray but I dont have the sterling anymore.

Can someone PM me with details and reviews of a fretless sterling?

Thanks

My first MM was a white/tort SR5. Still miss that bass. Cant believe that was already 7 years ago. Thats right, I got my first SR5 when I was 15.

First tune I played on it was "Brown Eyed Girl".

Obvious, by Jane's Addiction... in my room with my crap headphone amp in awe of my new SR5. Also played Principal's Office by Young M.C., on which Flea holds the bass chair.
