Help! first ding

if its a small ding, my experience is better t leave it alone. sometimes the finish repair doesn't really improve things. you could burn/sand thru the finish if your not careful.

if its minor no one will notice except for you.

Hey just try to find the positive side in it ) The ding is YOURS on YOUR guitar , it has it's own history... And we all know that when instrument is being played it has that tendency of getting those "wounds of honor" )...

It's all good my friend. I know it's painful at first, but look at Steve Morse's #1 . Sh*t happens, but the guitar will still sound the same and give you plenty of joy.

well with 20+ of steve playing of gigs and everything, proves what amazing instruments EBMM's are, even after getting there A$8 beat outa them

Several years ago i was adjusting the truss rod on my BD luke with a screwdriver (dont do this) and of course it slipped!

Really.

Put more of a GASH than a ding between the neck pup and truss wheel. Stared at it and cussed for 5 minutes! F word, S word C word, repeat.

The folks at MM in SLO did some repair work and it looks as good as new. Cant remember what i paid as i had some other stuff done at same time. I'd contact CS and see about it though if its major.

Battle scars bro! It's okay, don't stress. I think it is pretty much inevitable when you play a lot. I dropped my Luke once and it put a big ding on it but it still sounds and plays great.
