I am not for or against signatures models - it really depends on the merits of the instrument itself and not the name on it.
One thing that might be cool is to have someone like Tony Levin pick a unique colour and name it after him (maybe a limited run, maybe not). Levin Lavender, Myung Maroon, etc...
I like this idea. A stock bass with a unique color more to honor the player than to make a signature model. A Glascock blondie?
