I wonder why M M stopped doing the recessed neck plate like that. What kind of amp will you play it through?

Mhmm kinda sad to say but these days I barely have time to plug in... I love playing electric guitars unamped too, you get a better connection with the guitar I feel.

Hey nice thread. That's a great looking guitar which will serve you well.
I'm sure you have found the info on the forum about oiling the neck (which looks beautiful by the way!).If you're still unsure - let us know.

Nothing ugly about this one...I like the colour, my guess would be Egyptian Smoke  Congrats on that guitar!

That was out long before Egyptian Smoke was even introduced. It's a flat metallic Silver, can't remember the name of it right now.

By the way welcome, nice Axis Sport, MM90's are really great pickups.

Thanks everyone. I've been playing her last night without an amp again and it's just so satisfying. Incredible tone. I'm really glad there are companies out there like MM making no nonsense bolt on guitars. Even though we pay twice as much in Europe they somehow still feel worth it!

I can't find Birchwood Casey oil/wax in Europe... are any of the appropriate products for sale there?
