First Gig In A Long Time

Hey everyone, it's been quite a while since I posted anything on this site, just been really busy.

Anyway, I just started a band with some old friends of mine about 2 months ago, and what can I say, it's been great jamming with these guys! After a month of playing together we hit the local bar for a show. It went really well. I think I've officially been converted to a MUSIC MAN LOVER!!! My bass sounded perfect!! And I got alot of compliments on my sound. Thanx EB

Two questions ~ what rig are you running through...and what's that dude in the background smoking...?

I'm using a Peavey Mark VIII through an Ampeg SVT410HLF (mostly as a monitor) then running my amp direct to a berhinger mixing board with a crown power amp. My bandmates are a little POWER CRAZY sometimes. We were using 2 JBL 2x15 + horns, on top of 18's. A total of 4 15's, 2 horns and 2 18's!

As far as that guy in the background.................your guess is as good as mine.

I think you're the first person I've heard of to mix Peavey and Ampeg...probably a pretty mean sound!

BTW ~ I just MapQuested Holly, MI., and you're only a handful of miles from my brother (in Jackson). My wife and I were there May '05 for his wedding, and I dug all the open land...something you just don't find much of anymore in California.

Back in 1995 I was using a Peavey Mark VI through an Ampeg 1-15/1-10/Horn cab. Sounded great until I saved enough to buy an Ampeg head...
