I played my first gig with the piezo equipped StingRay 4 today. I ran it through my Eden WT400 and Bergantino HT322.

It was a church gig in a room that is built in a "log cabin" style. This room is such an amazing room for bass. You can really get a good stage volume (also running a DI to house). The stage is wooden and doesnt give you that huge boomy, mushy rumble that you get on a lot of wooden stages.

So anyway, the piezos blended 50/50 with the magnetic was my main blend setting with flats, and I really liked the warm pillowy tone that I was able to work up. The midrange punch was great and the highs were so smooth. Fills just sounded so sweet and clean. So again, Im diggin the piezos and what they add to the Ray. Props to the EB team for another great EBMM bass thats come through my hands.

Pic again for kicks:

I missed your sale of the mesa and purchase of the EA and eden. Cant say I blame ya, I didnt see the mesa lasting long. The iamp 500 is a great amp, as is the wt400. Will these be staying a few weeks? ;) In all honesty, I think the EA will be too transparent for ya, it seems you like a warmer tone.

Glad to hear you are digg'n the Piezo Ray. It doesn't hurt that you are playing through a Bergantino cab. As you know, I'm pretty much playing throught same cab set up, just in 2 pieces.:D I can't get over how nice my Bongos sound through my Ashdown/Berg rig. So smooth and rich. I'm sure the Ashdown has a bit to do with that, but I'm convinced anything would sound good through these cabs. Makes playing every gig even more exciting.:D
