The 20th is also my first 5 string. It does take some getting used to but using that B string gives me that added edge on certain songs. Enjoy your 20th as I will mine!!!!

I am still getting used to the 5th String, love that low B Rumble ... I think the extra string has given me a lot more possibilities. I figure I will have my playing tight on the 5 string over the next several months. I love my Bongo!

a lot of my practice on the 5 is geared towards using the extra string "well"... or my definition of "well" at least.

its way too easy and fun to just throw down a low note. LoL so i keep making mini exercises in order to train/remind me that there's low notes that i can use while playing in certain positions

Do some scale exercises starting at the 5th fret and above. That'll help you realize how much easier it is to play familiar bass lines up the neck.

What going to a 5 string did for me was make me realize that open strings are not truly necessary when you've got that extra range. I don't play open strings all that often any more.
