Hey guys. My name is Tim. Im a guitar a holic. The reason Im here is because I have coveted Music man guitars since the EVH days. Ive also been a dream Theater fan since I was 14 so going on 30 years. Im not exactly how many of the ember glows were made in 2024 but I know this one was made in late sept of 2024. After a restring (done after the pics) with a little minor set up work for my playing style this thing stays in tune better than my floyd equipped six from another custom manufacturer. Even though my favorite color is purple, the Ember Glow finish really suits my personality. I LOVE all the purple models that have come out. But for some reason I saw this and it just spoke to me much like many other guitars I never thought I would own. I have had high end guitars. I have been having a hard time finding a 7 string that was high quality. I received 2 different guitars before this from two different manufacturers and both had defects beyond cosmetic making them unplayable. I saw this and as a resident of Illinois and old enough to get the reference I went full Wayne's World and was like "It will be mine, oh yes it will be mine..." And I was fortunate enough to make it happen. And of the 250+ high end and custom guitars ive owned over my 34 years of playing this really is the pinnacle as far as playability and tone. I have a LOT of Ernie ball stickers on my dresser Ive had since I started playing guitar. Lots of ernie ball stickers. But never had a Music Man guitar. And ive watched every video on how this is made. And I was zooming on on shots to see how the wings were attached. You should see it in person under sun light. Even the Okoume sides have this ribbon streak to them combined with the shield inlay it really looks like its as if it was on fire under sunlight.

Thank you all. Im over the moon. All my guitars are far from abused but I dont rub them with diapers. This guitar is just next level. Ive loved this finish since ive seen it a few years ago and I didnt think they would have made one so late in 2024. So I feel like I got one of the last greats. Im usually against signature models but this guitar may be the perfect guitar for john. But I just think he is super logical and has good taste. Because my long search for the perfect seven for me is over. And FINALLY a guitar that went back and mounted the pickups directly to the body without any springs or foam. Thick plates bolted directly to the body, no adjustments. Best thing is I will never get sick of the way it looks or plays. But I havent found an instance where I couldnt get the tone I wanted. And Im really surprised at how well balanced the neck pickup is to the bridge. With it sitting so low and the bridge pickup being higher, thicker etc you would have a volume drop. Sorry, im rambling. Im just over the moon to have an EBMM guitar. And im being a 44 year old kid on christmas. YOU guys know what you are looking at. But again. Thank you to those who commented!

Congrats and welcome neighbor!!!! (Yorkville)
Thank you! Yeah you being down by joliet and me the same distance away from the same stores just in different directions I bet we have been at the same place more than once. I used to work at the Buffalo Grove Sam Ash WAYYYY back in the day when it was awesome. And Guitar Center in Arlington Heights. I gotta say the chicago GC dissappointed. i remember that was where I got my first guitar. But a lot has changed.
Thank you!
Very nice congrats and welcome, hard to stop at one :)
Thank you! And luckily this guitar put me at my purchasing limit and I am not buying anything else unless it breaks. Trust me. It was between this and a purple nebula flame top JP15 7. And I still want that guitar. But I could only have one and this just spoke to me. Im just so frustrated playing through my old Ampero 100. I really really need my quad cortex back from repair but its like dealing with the mafia. They dont tell you when its showing up. And they dont communicate very well. I want my tones that i have dialed in for seven strings. This thing is ok. But its like a damn original nintendo by comparison. How many you got? EBMM guitars?
