First recordings of my Stingray 5 enclosed within... PLUS PICS! =]

The new tracks all use it going straight into my Mark Bass CMD 121H with the VPF filter ALL THE WAY UP!! Just love the tone it squeezes out... And the analogue production lends it a wicked earthy warmth that can't be beaten.

Thanks dude. Obviously there's aspects of the recordings that we could easily improve upon in hindsight, but that's life!

I will be looking into getting the extension traveller 12 as soon as funds allow, used my combo with an extension speaker at my gig on friday for the first time. It was only a ****ty disco cab but my god it filled the room, and this was a *big* room.

I need more power!!

Cant go wrong with Markbass - it just WORKS with Musicman, it will kick a$$ with the extension cab!
My second option would be Eden but I like the lightness of the Markbass gear.

dude............sounds freakin' great..........i like the tone.

can't beat EBMM

Thanks very much! I'm pleased with Between Us the most as the bass and drums were done in one take, the other two tracks took a couple of goes to get the tempo right.

Here is a pic of my bass taken in the studio while I was bored. Also later on today I will have the tracks remastered so they should sound even better!

Love the tone and the LOOK of your bass !!

Yeah she's mighty fine! It's taken me a while to really get to grips with the tone, but I persevered because of the playability. I think I'll be trying out some TI flats next (what the high G is - the rest are labella deep talkin) as they are smoother than rounds but still give you the 'clank' if you dig in :D

With flats I couldn't be happier.

Thanks very very much! I'm listening to Teenage Fanclub now; haven't dug that album out in ages!!

Aha, that was my first ever 5 string - A Harley Benton (Thomman's own brand). It's jolly good, mind you! Nothin' on the Ray, of course; that's why it's currently sitting next to me with no frets and with some rotosound black nylons shoved on it =]

Someone on another forum said of the songs: "It's like if pop music didn't suck, it would be this."
