Hi everybody,

I go to my EBMM dealer today and what did I see? A red burst JP6.

My first thought was: it's so small!!! I was lost whit that in my hands. But what a good feeling to play on that neck. I think I am playing air guitar. It's awesome!!!! I never felt that on any other guitars. Maybe its because of the natural neck. But I understand peaples who said that neck is so fast now. Wow...

I got to save some monney to order one the most fast that is possible.

But I have one thing I like to know before. Did the BFR F1 neck is also fast as the standard JP with there finished neck???

Thanks

None of us have ever laid a hand on a production line BFR so we don't know. Some folks prefer a finished neck and some don't. Ironically, the JP was the first oiled neck I ever played and there is no going back for me.

When i first played a JP a few years ago, i thought, "I'll never be able to afford a guitar of this quality". Then, a year or so later i got a "real" job and went back to the music store and ordered a mystic dream JP6. Now, I am waiting for my second JP. Friends and family don't understand why i am buying the SAME guitar only in a different color. All I can say is once you find a guitar that plays and sounds like the JP, you won't turn back.

Locking tuners, compensated nut, natural neck, custom pickups, rock solid tremolo, and an amazingly comfortable body contour and shape make the EBMM JP the perfect guitar.

BUY THIS GUITAR. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!

I tried one at NAMM and it was great. Yes it felt different than the regular necks do, but that didn't discourage me from playing it. I picked it up and found that I rather liked the way the whole guitar felt and sounded. Looks like the first one might be arriving around June...

Do you still prefer the oiled neck or now, the finished neck?

I ordered my JP6 without ever playing one. Finally managed to get my hands on one to try at a Guitar Center in Houston a few months later and was bowled over, great neck and very comfy to play with the forearm contour.

Can't wait for delivery, not long now! :)

I haven't put in enough time on the finished neck to say I prefer one over the other. All I'm saying is that the finished neck was comfortable.

I was going to ask the same question Pete.

See above :)

8 to go? As I type this, you were at 2991....by my count you need 9. ;)

Mike

9 would put me at 3000.... I'll hit 2999 Wednesday or Thursday and then torture with #3000.

Is there any difference regarding the sound?
I could imagine the BFR is a bit "warmer" and "bigger" sounding, what do you think Pete?

Some months before the musicman guitars was for me just another guitar manulfacter. I had never played one of them.. All these changed rapidly when I first played an JP6. I wasnt expecting the shock. I just went to a guitar store and asked a salesman to saw me some good guitars. He brought me some guitars and I played with them. As you understund one of them was a JP6. I can not describe how I felt. I just could not avoid falling in love with this guitar. This guitar was perfect. What an amazing sound. What an amazing neck and everything. Words are not enough.. I had to have a JP6.. In the next months I will. Dificult to wait but I have to..
