There's nothing quite like a bunch of old Alaskan Fisherman, reciting poetry, that excites this old Alaskan fisherman. So I travelled to Astoria Oregon to attend the 11th annual Fisher Poets gathering. Now I know you're thinking Fisher Poets? Well, it's kind of like Cowboy Poets, but on the ocean. And this year, one of my favorite artists, Ray Troll, showed up with his band playing such favorites as:
Ketchican Cannery Girl
Spawn till you die
and my personal favorite
Ain't no nookie like Chinookie
and low and behold, his bass player was sportin a 20th SR5. My oh my it could not have been any better.
