You are correct, Sir! :D

no.

i once sold a much loved radiance red jp6 because i didn't adjust to the trem. then i started playing better (with a lighter picking hand) and my new jp6 is a living dream.

so, no. there are no rules. it's what you make with it and not the other way around.

edit: i still miss that ****ing radiance red jp6.

With the trem sitting flush on the body I can't make out a really big difference betwenn my trem and hardtail ALs.

Funny thing is that I generally prefer hardtails but ended up with the majority of my EBMMs having a trem...

I am confused about this Silhouette Bass Guitar. Still looks like a 6 string guitar to me. Is it strung with thicker strings and meant to stay in a lower tuning???

Also the Axis Super Sport...does that have a tremolo or not?

You want more options? BP already offers 1,000,000,000,000,000,000+ options, so I'm told.

the silo bass comes from the factory tuned to A or lower E (an octave lower than concert pitch) and is a hardtail. axis super sport can be ordered with or without tremolo.

Yes, the Silhouette Bass Guitar uses thicker strings. It can be set up to tune E-E or A-A if I recall correctly. Maybe ask NorM, since he owns one.

in addition to the tuning and strings - the Silo bass guutar also has a longer scale - 29-5/8" vs 25-1/2 for a standard guitar.

The axis super sport comes hard tail or vintage trem - your choice

Axis Super Sport is starting to look interesting. Or the knock-off...Sterling AX20...

I have a beautiful one for sale man! It's in the "For Sale" thread, but the pics aren't great (iPhone). I'll be happy to take some better ones for you. I NEED to move this one to make room for the DD2 JP7 I have coming soon.

My Silo's hardtail/string through. I bought it because I prefer hartails. Its old 1990 and I dont know if they are made like this any more. You can switch pups from ss to hsh or hh on these too,so it might be worth tracking one down.

Definitely uses a floyd for Purple tunes, in particular Highway Star - There ae a few vids of this floating around the forum. I also beieves he addresses it in one of the BP interview videos that are floating around. (But I haven't had breakfast yet so I didn't do a search)
