Fixing the guitar stap holder

What is the best method to fix a loose strap holder on a majesty? Mine has become fairly loose. (Secondary question: I installed strap locks on the guitar. Was that a mistake?)

Does the screw no longer tighten?

Strap locks are fine, lots have them.

It still tightens. It comes loose after 30 minutes or so of play.

Take the screw out. Break off some toothpicks in the hole. Put the screw back in. That should do it.

What kind of strap locks did you install? If the screw used is significantly narrower in width you can have issues like this.
