I love my Sport - 3 single coils, trans blue.

It was my first EBMM so it will always have a special place in my heart.

I've changed the pickguard to pearl white & pickup covers to white now and it looks fantastic.

For the person that asked, yes, Chandlers do sell the guards still.

hey kids ;I actually drew the pickguard and dudley made it and we both loved it but customers bitched and we caved

I don't think you could have said it any simpler. That's a bummer when you have to can an idea that you liked.

And no screws attached- supergood.
How did ya fix it?
Maybe a solution for the Y2D pickguard packed seperately with the guitar and leave it to the buyer if he wants to install it.

I really like my Sport too, though I can't really compare with other EBMM because it's the only one I own... Anyway, there's just something really nice to that simple, yet elegant design... no fancy top or bindings, just a pure Tone monster :D

How come there are no screws - whats holding it on dude?

I cant decide whether I love or hate the pickguard - I love the tone of my Axis Sport though.

I wasn’t about to drill holes, so I use a couple of very small pieces of double sided carpet tape. It is very thin and holds well. To protect the finish, I wax the area around the tape and remove it from time to time so the color won’t fade. Works great and I have not had any issues with the finish. The picture I submitted is not the best, the guitar is awesome and the pick guard in my opinion really sets off the guitar.
