Wasn't quite sure if this belonged in Strings or basses...

Anyone string-through flats on a Classic SR5? I've been thinking about it but remember having some issues with the silk on the low-B several years ago. I don't remember if they didn't fit well in the bridge or through the body or what.

Experiences and recommendations are welcome.

You can push out the ferrule and widen the hole.

If you're an originality geek, order a spare ferrule,
wrap it in plastic, and stash it in the control cavity.

I used to use Ernie Ball Flats Group III on a Classic Stingray 5 without any need for modifikation
