Ok, I have been using EB custom gauge group11 50-105 flatwound on my Alembic Essence and my SR4 for about 6 month's now, and I really like them. They really seam to hold thier tone. They seam to have the same tension as the EB roundwound in the 45-100. I run though an Ampeg SVT 3 Pro with 410 classic on top of 115 classic. I run pretty much flat on the EQ. To me it gives me good low end thump. Seams to be what my band want's to hear. Has anybody else tried these strings? I was afraid to ask, becouse I don't hear to much about them on the forum. What do you guy's and gal's think? How do they compare to outher flats/ TI Jazz?

Now I havent tried EB flats, but Ive been thinking about it. If I remember correctly I read in a post that Lord Bongo Bovinehost liked the group II EB flats. However I dont remember if he compared them to the TI's that he uses. You might try using the search utility yo find the post I'm talking about.
