It was a Cutlass bass, essentially a 3 bolt, string through Sting Ray Bass with a Modulas graphite neck.

That sounds correct.

The Modulas Flea sig was introduced to me in 1997

Also sounds correct. I had one for a very short while. It seemed like a good idea....but they were voiced very weakly in the mids and I shouldn't have been surprised, given Flea's sound at the time, but I thought I could coax a decent (fat) tone out of it. I was wrong. I kept it about a week.

Modulus is actually back up and running in a new iteration.

The assets in the bankruptcy liquidation were acquired by one of their more prominent dealers, Planet Bass. For now it is more of a boutique build thing with very small output and I am guessing a very high price point as well. But I have no idea what models they are making and if the Flea is among them.

FWIW.
