It's been decked since I got it. After reading this now popular thread on TGP about the proper way a strat should be set up, it peaked my interest and I thought I would try floating the trem on my cutlass. I have not done this before so I watched this YouTube video which was very helpful. I now have my tremolo floating so that the G string will go up a minor third, the B a major 2nd, and the E a minor second.
It struck me as odd that the bridge slants forward so far. Just as a sanity check, I wanted to post photos here and ask you to tell me if this looks correct. Going into this I was thinking that the space between the bridge and the body should be even and that I should adjust the pivot screws to do that. They didn't do that in the video though.
Thank you for your feedback!
