BTW, I wish the floating trem would migrate onto the Axis line. That would be an amazing move.

Anybody agree?

The EBMM vintage trem is just great, you can set it up to float no probs, it doesnt have to only dive down, you might want to see Steve Lukather in action- he uses his trem on the Luke's to GREAT effect, plenty of going up and down. Check him out, you might find the MM trem is excellent!

my friends silh special is set to float and it also does it to GREAT effect

rarely goes outta tune

and after all the JP bridge is just a vintage style trem with a smooth part for your hand to rest on

I suppose you could argue it is knife edged 2 fulcrum

but it isn't like really floating. only a little bit. Not like on say my old JEM which I could pull back two steps on my high E. I do miss that aspect, although not the look. :) I suspect the JP trem is the best of both worlds in that it really floats, but doesn't have all the locking stuff to mess with.

Now if the JP model only had the Axis neck . . . hmm . . . Basically, that would be the ultimate guitar. JP body and trem. Axis pickups and neck. No signature.

Who would be next in line after me to order one?
