Just curious, when I do some serious bending and vibrato, about two steps or more, the Floyd bridge raises slightly off the body and then lays flush again once I stop. This only happens when I really tackle the note. Should I tighten the spring tension some more so the bridge never raises when bending or is this normal?

Either tighten the spring plate or add a spring.
This is normal with any tremelo.
The only downfall is that your tremelo will get tighter.

Thanks for the information. I will leave it then since I would rather not have the tension any tighter.
