ouch!?

did anyone else see the RocknRoll HOF when George Harrison was post-humously inducted? A bunch of people played on "While my Guitar Gently Weeps", then Prince comes out and rips a sweet solo at the end. Right at the last chord he tosses his guitar straight up and just walks away. It went out of TV view and just never came down, haha!?!

This one?

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7sT1HRV2qU]YouTube - My Guitar Gently Weeps - Tom Petty, Prince Tribute[/ame]

Mods, feel free to remove this if it is too O/T or a serious hijack offense...but they're probably all playing EB strings.

Mike's a cool dude, puts on a good show...sort of local guy here.
I'm not into throwing my stuff, but hey, if that's what it took be there, I'd do it.

On the Prince thing... I've seen him throw it at concerts too, and a tech catches it.

DUDE..could you imagine the pressure?!?!? Prince is a bad dude (for his stature) and he is bat s**t outta his mind. he's gonna throw a guitar up in the air..a legendary guitar.. and no matter what YOU HAVE TO CATCH IT. or you will be banned from music gigs forever
A rogue dove from earlier flys in the way.. you've gotta catch the guitar
Prince's scarf is tangled up in it...you've gotta catch the guitar
Prince throws like an 11 yr old girl..you've gotta catch that guitar

I'd need serious meds to be his roadie who has that job

Don't cry; he's not really capable of suspending the laws of gravity. Believe me, if he could, I'd be crying right along with you.

Or do you mean the broken bass?

I've seen that MXPX bass trick many times live...I got my eye on that roadie...i can't imagine trying to catch a 9 or 10 pound object falling at you...my singer has a hard time just grabbing onto my bass when I hand it to her...
