if you mean changing the humbucker cover to a different colour then sure thats easy, aint it?
Absolutely! You simply unwind the pickup, exchange the bobbin and rewind it - you'd recycle both wire, polepieces and magnets... not to mention wasting a lot of time messing up a perfectly good pickup. Also, is there a way to change humbucker color without replacing the entire p'up?

Seriously though, you can get bobbin toppers (glorified stickers) to change the apearance, but IMHO they look terrible. If you want a different colour, I think the best option simply is to change the PUs and either save the originals for a rainy day or unload them on unsuspecting ebayers.

Candid,
I don't have any pics of that combination.
It is very ironic that you request that though. About a month ago, there was a used Silo Spec. at the local shop for a steal of a price. I thought about it and passed due to the incoming Dargie.
It was blue pearl, white pearl guard, rosewood neck and natty headstock.
I'm not a huge fan of the white pearloid, and was trying to picture what it would look like with an abalone guard. The white pups is what stopped me thinking about it!
I know you have a great eye, and you echo my own thinking on it.
Thanks, Foggy. You're awesome, man.
Here's some bad photoshopping with the tort!!!
I think it's kinda cool!
'Course I'll post pics if I do, for Foggy's ever expanding collection.
I have a blue pearl silo special with a black pearloid guard and I think it looks awesome, it really matches the blue nicely, foggy has a pic of me rocking cbgb's with it, I know you alredy have a black pearloid guard on your other silo, maybe change both, I had MM send me black pup covers as well and black screws for the guard and trem cover, abalone looks too muck like a bowling ball to me, black pearloid is mean looking, mone has a natty head stock as well, love it!
