Here's something that came to me recently......
Have you noticed how there never seems to be any adds for EB MM basses in BassPlayer magazine or any other publications for that matter? But there merely seems to be atleast one or two players per issue whose main instrument is an EB.........
Boy , are we associated with the right kind of company and play the right kind of bass or what!

ps. I do know that the EB site has a couple of ads with SR palyers but I've never seen those (or a need for that matter) in any publications. a true sign of a product that need s no celebrity attached to prove it's worth ....... Although Tony L. is God! hehehe:D

When everyone wants to use your product you end up getting free advertising without even trying.

I seem to remember once in the UK there was an ad for Trace Elliott showing Tony Levin sat cross-legged on top of some Trace cabs with his head bowed down as if in meditation.

He was however, cradling an anniversary SR in his arms if my memory serves me correctly. It was shot in largely black and white and to me looked the ultimate in cool.

I wonder if Trace Elliott tried to pass on part of the advertising costs to Ernie Ball when the ad was produced!!!

The EB Stingray line is as powerful of a design of a bass since the Fxxxxx Jazz. That is probably why EB may spend more ad dollars on more competitive items such as strings..

Did you see the ad recently in a UK Bass magazine????

I used to subscribe to Bassist in the UK but they stopped production of it. I had heard that there was going to be a new UK Bass magazine but have not seen it since.
