Haha! You should send a whole case to Ed Roman this year! :D

Please dont ever ever confuse the two...Jim D'Addario is one of my greatest competitors but one of the smartest, greatest guys I know and consider him to be one of my best friends. He and his wife Janet have hearts of gold. The great part of this business is the fact that certain competitors actually share a tremendous amount of mutual respect and friendship. Jim and Janet daddario have donated almost $500,000.00 to the Casey Lee Ball foundation since the begining. ON the field so to speak its war, but off the field it is great. Jimmy also is great in that he knows all of the Beatles catalog note for note so our collective parties involve much singing and playing. My strings are still better though!

Bill Collings goes motorcycle riding and camping with Bob Taylor...and the list goes on....

Bob Taylor (taylor Guitars) is a really bright and kind person also.

BP,

You really do have to write a book!!!!
The stories, the contacts, the experiences, the behind the scenes....Incredible.
You really must make this a priority before you become 90 and senile and all is lost!! ;)

Oh ya, and you can dedicate it to your biggest fan that doesn't have one of your guitars yet! Just 1500 pics of them!

As a 33 year old British chocoholic I can safely say I've never seen a Violet Crumble in any shop over here in my life. If they are expensive in the US and marketed as a British thing then you guys are being ripped off!!! :D

I agree with you Beth, clotted cream, strawberry jam and scone. Perfect! I have all my US family hooked on this combination now!

And you US guys can't blast us for gross sounding foods, how about "Eggs over easy" and Grits...??? Mind you, spotted dick does win the prize :D :D

So back on topic, any takers for that Al?

BP,

No problem there. I remember from previous posts that Jim D'Addario is good friend to you. I knew you were joking when you sent spotted dick to him.

I thought maybe if you wanted to send some and mean it, Ed was the go-to guy. ;)

I've been away 4 a few days and didn't expect the thread to gravitate to Spotted dick!!
I just love spotted dick but ya got to have loads of custard over it!!

Beth - clotted cream with scones and strawberry jam - man it's making my mouth water just thinking about it.

BP I've never seen those choc bars b4 - How about sending one over with my new guitar ?

But if ever any of you USA guys come over you just got to try Black pudding (I think my cousin from St Louis called it blood pudding), or a steak and kidney pie.
If you come to Cardiff you have got to try a pint of Brains http://www.pub-explorer.com/realale/sabrains.htm
and a Clarks Pie http://www.currybeast.com/bluebirds/the_clarkies_pie.htm

Hey BP even better, we love our faggots here in Wales. They are really tasty
go to
http://icwales.icnetwork.co.uk/0750expats/newsletter/page.cfm?method=full&objectid=14538007 for more info on faggots.

The web site also menions another savoury delight "Laverbread" which is cooked sea-weed!

So now when you shout out to Mrs Ball it can be something like "dont forget the spotted dick to go with the faggots!"
I'd get away with it over here !!! lol :D
