I currently have for sale a Lava Pearl Bongo 4HH. It is in almost perfect shape except for the usual dings on the headstock. Comes in a C&G fitted case.
I'm asking $775 shipped to the lower 48. No trades I really need the cash.

My bass player is growing very interested in the Bongo... is this one active or passive? Is it equipped with the piezo?

A) I've never seen a passive Bongo (at least in person)...this one is active
B) no Piezo

Unless somebody gutted a Bongo, you won't find passive - MusicMan only builds active Bongos . . . .

There have been few exeptions for custom made Bongos for artists....one in particular I know of is the guy from System Of A Down.

And don't forget Psychicpet (Peter)'s modified passive Bongo... the one that evoked the 'subaru engine in a ferarri' or some such comparison from Big Poppa.
;)
