For those of you who have swapped out the pickups on your Axis

Have any of you specifically tried the SD Jazz and JB combo on the Axis SS? Any details you'd care to report back?

I dont know but I have a black set of Jazz/Jb for sale.

didn't try that combo but did just swop out the original pu in my axis for a dimarzio paf pro in the neck and a dimarzio air zone in the neck. Both were coil tapped with individual toggle switchs. I'm floored by the tone i know get. Especially in the neck position. Very defined bass - the undistingiushable oversaturated bass tone that the stock axis pu gave me is now no more. The guys in my band (www.fourafter.com) were really pleased. (they whined that my axis was very nasally sounding). Playing through a rocktron voodoo valve and a mesa boogie rectoverb/peavey 5150.

I thought the air zone and Axis neck pickup were almost the same deal?
